Submit overheard conversations in ThailandHave you overheard something funny, insightful, or crazy that you’re sure only to hear in Thailand? Send it to us and we’ll share it with our army of readers.

If you would like to go by a handle/username or remain anonymous, enter in any name you want in the name section. Otherwise, go ahead and use your real name.

For email, while we respect your privacy, we may want to contact you if there are any questions. Because of that we recommend using your real email address. We do understand if you prefer to remain unreachable though and this will not weigh in on our decision to use your submission.

Technically, we don’t need to know of the exact location that you overhead the submission but it always seems funnier when you know exactly where the conversation took place. So feel free to leave it blank or, if you choose, include the place where you overheard it.

General Guidelines for Submissions

We don’t have very many rules about what you can submit but there are a few so please try to follow them.

1. Overheard in Thailand / Siamtastic is not obligated to use any submission. We reserve the right to approve or reject any submission for any reason.

2. You can submit things you overhear from any source. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something you overhear. Whether you’re on the BTS and you overhear people talking or someone sends you a funny SMS message, it’s all fair game.

3. Please do not include any real names. By that we mean, don’t send us a submission that says, “So Joe Smith said . . . ” You can say “Joe said” or “Friend #1 said” but avoid using people’s real names.

You can include real names if they are public names and necessary for the story such as saying, “Prime Minister Yingluck gave a speech last night . . .”

4. We will not even consider posting anything that is in any way disrespectful of Thailand’s monarchy.
