Can someone please explain to me how some Thai actor who has appeared in a grand total of three acting projects is considered a “super star”?

Doing the Minimum
I’ve been watching all of these Facebook updates from Thais I know saying how proud they are to be Thai or how much they love their country because some hiso celebrity or politician sent half a bottle of water to people who have lost their homes in the floods. I guess if you set the bar low enough you’ll always find something to be proud of.
